Board Rules

AK47 Rules

Starting tips

1) After you register post some info about yourself (Introductions forum) - where your from, what games your play, your psn etc.

2) Sign up to the Usergroups - go to UCP at the top, then usergroups. Apply to the group(s) if you have the game and want to get involved with the clan in that game.

To play cod4 with the clan you need to be signed up to it because this is the list the leaders of the group use to add members to their psn. However, if your a member and dont use the forum and dont play with us often then you could be removed and others added in your place.

3) Find out what is going on in each game - for example COD4, we are playing league and ladders matches, there are threads about these, do read up and get involved!

4) Finally, because we are a large and growing clan the hosts or leaders can really only take care of the most active members. If you play with us often and take part in the fourm then you wont have a problem.

User Activity

To keep the vibrancing on this site and in the clan it is important that we keep the membership current and up to date.

We dont expect everyone here to contribute to every topic - but logging in and seeing what is going on is a must. It also allows us the admins to gauge your interest in the clan..

Essentially

  • If a member has not logged in within the last month then that member will receive a notification and warning to come back.. A reminder is sent out 9 days later, and a second reminder 5 days later. 2 Days after the second reminder, the members account will be deleted, removed from any usergroups they are particpating in, and removed from leagues. While a month seems very short - it is not for a gaming clan, where things can change overnight.
  • You can avoid this happening to you by

    • Posting here
    • Playing games with the admin team here - See global Mods usergroup
    • Playing in leagues and ladders
    • Post in the Hols thread if you are going to be away for a while.

We will not publish erveryone who is suspended or deleted. It is up to you guys to check the usergroups and overall membership list to see who is still around, and who might not, and then clean up your friends list as you see fit, e.g. at this stage I rescan my friends list about once a week.

I would encourage you to look up the usergroups after you read this post.

Note: We will announce members who have achieved enough posts to avail of the Gamesnash deal - so that Gamesnash can update their lists should they want.

Code of Conduct To Each Other

Offensive and disrespectful comments against other members is NOT acceptable.

Should the admin or mod team come across such posts the author will get a board warning, which AFAIK is available for all to see. This warning will stay in effect for 1 month. If you offend again within that time you will be banned from the forum for 2 weeks, removed from usergroups, unable to get points in leagues, etc.

On return you will be on probation for 1 month, and a subsequent offense will earn you a permanent ban.

Note: The team have no problem with a lot of the ribbing and banter that goes on here (even take part at times) - but it is when it over steps the mark like making unwarranted offensive comments in a completely unrelated topic - that is where the line is drawn

    Forum Specific

    Groups

    Why do we have groups
many reasons 1. As time progresses, the membership of the forum will continue to increase as new members come on board. At the same time some of the existing members will move on and cease being active members. Having groups means group leaders - and there is an owness on those guys to maintain that list of active members for a game so others can see who to add to there friends 2. As many of you know, the friends list on your PS3 is limited to 50 so certain games like COD4 and R6V2 become very limited by the number of ppl on the list. This is nightmare to manage (ask myself or kev how many times a week we prune and amend our friends lists  ). With groups, it is easy for members to see who should be on their friends list for certain games. 3. We have members of the site who are from other clans who come to participate in discussions, challenge us, etc. We want to facilitate this, so groups allow us to lock out certain forums from their prying eyes ;) 4. It enables us to indicate which games we are interested in so that we can connect with like minded souls... 5. Ensures internal leagues are filled with active members for a game rather than just newbies to the site.
    Top

How do I create a group
You cant. You must request the admin of the site to create the group. Typically we require to see some interest in creating the group - ~3 to 4 ppl. The group at this stage is used to check for further interest in the game from the clan. If the group grows to 6 ppl or more a new forum is created, and should it continue to grow beyond 12 the group leader can request for a category (collection of forums) to be created.
    Top

How do I join a group
In your User Control Panel (UCP) or Profile should be a Usergroups menu. select this and you should see which groups you are a member of and those that your not. Select the one you want to join by selecting the right radio button, and select "join" from the drop down menu and finally clicking submit. This will send an email to the group leader to approve you.
    Top

How many groups can I join
As many as you like. You can only have one "default" group, but you can be a member of all the other groups (assuming the group leader approves you).
    Top

Why would I select a default group
Purely superficial. You get the default avatar for the group, and you get your name in the groups colour (or color for those of us west of Shannon;)) on the board.
    Top

How do I make a group my default
As per joining - go to your profile and select the usergroups to see the screen above. This time select the left radion button and then select "change default group" button.
    Top

What is this about approving me
You need to be approved to join a group. The conditions of joiningto be determined by each group leader
    Top

I am a group leader - what am I meant to do
As a group leader you will get emails about ppl joining. You need to approve these if possible. Also, you are expected to maintain an active membership list - i.e. why have someone on the list who hasnt played for 6 months while rejecting requests from others...
    Top

    How do I approve requests
Like joining you need to go to the UCP/profile - but select the "manage groups". You have an option to "edit" or "manage users". Select manage users and you should be able to see the requests at the end of the list.
    Top

I can make this group a default group for a new member - should I
No - leave it to the user. Doing this wipes their avatar, and they may have selected another group as their default.
    Top

What can I edit about a group?
You can assign a different colour - but pick one that is not already in use or the admin will reset to black should a conflict occur. Also - black isnt allowed since thats the default forum style background colour. You can assign a new default avatar (very handy) You can provide a better desciption of the group
    Top

Can I close the group so that I dont get more requests?
No - you need to PM the admin team

    KZ2 Rules

4 maps will be played each Monday night, over 12 weeks, playing 48 maps.

All game types will be played on the map.

    Maps will be ranked.

Each night the squads will be assigned a faction, For example on the first night squads A & B will play as ISA against C & D who will play as the Hellghast.

Points will be award for each game you win on the map - i.e. if the end score is 6-1 to your faction, your squad will get 6pts, and so will the squad you were teamed with for the night, while the other squads just get 1pt.

Points are also awarded to individuals for an overall leaderboard. You get your squad points but also get a +1 bonus for best winner, or best loser.

So in summary each map provides 9 points, with 8 being available to the best player on the night

    Friendly FIre will be on.

Rocket and GLs will be on - this will be revisited if abused.
